Blog about your passion

You’re still with me? that’s great. Or maybe you are just joining me. Either way, let’s start at the beginning.

If you are interested in blogging, there must be a reason. You must have a passion for something, something that you want to share with the world. A blog is like a journal where you write down daily or weekly thoughts, feelings, articles or reviews about something that you want to share with others. But in order for your blog to be read by others, you must share information consistently, and provide interesting insight, experiences, tips, or facts about a subject that you are an expert in.

With this as the basis of your blog, you will attract others who are interested in the same things that you are to read your posts and continue to follow what you write. You will create a relationship with others online, they will relate to you, and begin to trust you. They will expect to continue to get solid information on that topic that you have researched and checked out and shared with your blog community. They will come to see you as the expert in your blog niche.

With that in mind, when you are thinking about starting a blog, or if you are already writing a blog, perhaps it is time to focus in on a niche – one that you are comfortable with. It can be anything that you are passionate about. But you must be passionate, or you will lose interest in writing your own blog!

Don’t forget, there is much more to a blog than writing. You can provide videos on the niche topic, you can create photo galleries, link to e-books, or pull together resources for others to search through, or you can create an e-commerce site to sell items that are related to your niche. There are a variety of ways to provide content on your particular passion.

We are going to talk about all these things, and I will provide you direction on how to get started, how to select your niche, how to set up your blog, and how to monitize (make money from) your online efforts.

If this appeals to you, stay with me! I will continue to bring you the best information that I can find out of the research that I do, so you can just carry on focussing on your passion!

Sound good? While you’re waiting for the next post, why don’t you look me up on Facebook?

Follow me on the road to blogging success

Why blog? I guess many of you are wondering why there is so much hype around blogging.

Blogging is like journaling, but it is usually written for the public to read. Blogs can be for personal reasons, education, to promote a business or a product, or to inform the public about something. There are many types of blogs, and everyone can use them for whatever they wish.

However, when used for marketing purposes, blogs have all kinds of advantages. They are easy to update, to maintain, and the individual posts can be short — you don’t have to spend hours, days, months researching each post. Write about something you know — it’s pretty easy to put together 300 words on a topic. Those who read blogs are usually looking for the information that you write about, and will appreciate your point of view if you are writing something you are passionate about. In fact, the more passionate you are about your topic, the more credible your blog will be. Then you share an idea or review a product, people will read your post. And they will comment which creates wonderful word of mouth.

In fact, they can share the blog post with their social media networks with the push of a button. Your blog post can suddenly be viewed by 1000s of people that you don’t know, people who chose to click on the link and come to your blog site to read what you wrote.

This is one of the best ways to bring your product or business online. So why not give it a try? I will continue to provide information on how to make your blog show up on google, and how to write posts that will get read.

    Stay tuned!

      Succeeding in Today’s Economy

Have you ever noticed that it doesn’t seem to matter what is going on in the world’s economy, you still hear stories of how people made it big, became successful, or just seem to have the midas touch no matter what?

Those stories happen whether the economy is bad or good. They happen about 1% of the time, to 1% of the people, and the media pick them up because people want to read about successful people. That’s news.

What they don’t write about is what it takes to get there. When do you get to read about the 100′s of failures that it took to reach that success? When do you read the stories of all those who gave up one opportunity before they would have made it big?

Those who work through their failures, learn from them, and apply those lessons to the next opportunity are the ones who will be ready when success comes for them. They will recognize it and take hold of it with both hands. They are the ones who never gave up. They are truly successful.

“By prevailing over all obstacles and distractions, one may unfailingly arrive at his chosen goal or destination. “

Patience is a virtue. Go with the flow.

There are those who are motivated by helping others succeed. These are the “water” personalities, those folks who “go with the flow”.

They are patient, easy going, stable and very supportive. They are great listeners, and have a need for quality relationships. They want to avoid confrontation, and will look for the “win-win” for everyone.

Show them genuine concern for their needs, and once they see the big picture of how many people they can help through working with you in your business, they will become the most loyal and reliable members of your team.

Water, ice, wind, or fire? Which one are you?

Do what you love. Love what you do.

          “Blowing in the wind.”

Part of the reason that you started an online business is so that you could focus on doing something that you love, rather than spending your energy and time working for others. Wouldn’t it be great to have fun while you do it?

If you recruit “wind” personalities, you will have fun building your business. These people are the life of the party, in fact, they are always looking forward to the next party. They are not motivated by money, but they know a lot of people and can help you build your business very quickly, as long as you don’t bore them with the details.

Give them the opportunity to shine, and smile and laugh with them along the way. Their enthusiasm, optimism and outgoing personalities will attract a large number of people. Just make sure you have others lined up to take care of the details. Let their “wind” blow through your business, like a breathe of fresh air, and their enthusiasm and excitement will inspire the others as your business grows.

            Analyze your personalities.

You can recognize those who will be research-driven, detail-oriented professionals in your business – these are the “ice” personalities.

They are the ones who won’t make up their minds without doing their do-diligence, those who are hard to make an appointment with because they are already booked up 9 months in advance. These people are not enticed by “hype”, they want the facts, and then they will confirm them. If they understand the logic behind why they should be part of your business, they will come on board. They will bring solidity, discernment and stability to your business. They are like slow moving iceburgs, you never know the solid depths that lay under the surface, but it will work for you in building your business.

Brrr, that’s cold! but great on a sunny day!

              “Fire” up your business.

Online businesses are built on relationships. The more trust you have with more people, the more you will sell online.

These relationships are the cornerstone of your business, so you should understand the personalities of those who join you in your business.

Building relationships online requires leadership skills. These are the “type A” personalities, the ones who are on “fire”. These people will help you get your business to the next level – they don’t need to be lead by the hand, they just want you to get to the point, then get out of their way. Once they understand the big picture, and how they fit into it, and they understand their options, they will hit the ground running. They are attracted to leadership opportunities, money, lifestyle, challenges, freedom and material possessions. They are impatient, demanding, and poor listeners, so be prepared to give them the most important information up front, and save the details for later. Maybe never. In fact, you would do well to follow up on the details yourself.

With a few of these “fire” personalities well-positioned in your business, you will be able to let them go to work building your business for you. However, keep in mind that not everyone can be a leader, there are other types of personalities that can help you build a strong online business.

If this helps, leave me a comment!

The only thing to fear in Network Marketing, is Network Marketing itself.

Everyone is looking for leads for their business, hoping to find the next greatest way to automate their business with a cool system, or new widget, or some auto-pilot technique. However, to build a Network Marketing business, sooner or later (I suggest sooner) you have to “network” with real people. To find them, you have to “market”. These two words strike fear into folks, because they believe the only way to do this is do bother their family and friends, and they don’t want to ruin those relationships, or look like idiots to the people close to them.

Network Marketing – are you crazy?!?

The way to overcome this fear is to break it down, and realize what Network Marketing really is.

Networking really means building relationships with people, something everyone has been doing since the first day of school. When you walk through the door of that kindergarten class, there are a number of other kids, all trying to get to know each other, and doing it naturally without systems, widgets or the latest cool techniques. Yet they succeed. They make friends, have birthday parties, sleepovers, developing relationships with a number of people, naturally. Some of these people become their friends for life.

In high school, these relationships become more complex. Teenagers are more discerning about who they will spend time with. They choose people who they have something in common with, those they are attracted to, or those who simply aren’t irritating. Basically, they gravitate to those who they like, who they are happy to hang out with. Those that they trust.

                Do what comes naturally.

Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to run a business, doing what comes naturally? What you have learned to do since kindergarten?

That is exactly what Network Marketing is. It is about building relationships with people, building their trust, then showing them products that will enhance their lives. People will buy products from people that they trust.

However, in Network Marketing there is one more thing to understand. When people buy products from you, they can also recommend those same products to others that they know, and you can both earn income from those sales. This means that you can earn money without having to sell the product yourself. This is leveraging your time and your energy through your relationships. This is the power of network marketing. No longer do you have to do all the hard work yourself to build a strong business. And neither do those who you are working with. Everyone works together which helps everyone else.

The goal is to focus on finding two other people who would like to build a business of their own, and then teach them to do the same thing. And so on, and so on, and so on….

Sound easy? It is. The hardest part is walking through the door of the school house on that first day of school….

If this resonates with you, please leave me a comment. I’d love your feedback!

                  The Key to Success

What is the key to network marketing success?

Some people seem to make this business look so easy. But we know it’s not easy, right?

Not easy… but it is simple. And I’m going to tell you just how simple it is.

There are a few rules to follow to achieve success.

                  1. People: Make sure the company you associate yourself with has a strong management team with integrity, expertise, and drive.
                  2. Property: Make sure that the product you will be selling is needed and reliably available, and is of the highest quality.
                  3. Paper: Make sure that the company is well financed with a long term vision and won’t disintegrate.
                  4. Promotion: Ensure that the company supports your promoting efforts by educating you and making promotional materials readily available.
                  5. Price: Make sure that the initial start-up cost is reasonable (Franchises are often excessively expensive) and the maintenance costs manageable.
                  6. Politics: Make sure that the company you choose is operating on a global basis. This is the time for internet businesses, and the world can provide your customers.
                  7. Push: Make sure the company you choose is committed to growth through its research and development. You need innovations and high quality products to maintain a competitive advantage.

How does a person follow these rules and begin a legitimate work from home business with confidence in the probability of success?

I believe it was Thomas Edison who said: “Opportunity is missed by most
people, because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”

In other words, there are no “get-rich-quick” schemes without effort. And, if you think there are, you may as well buy lottery tickets or believe that the stories by the Brothers Grimm are non-fiction.

It is true that starting a new business of your own entails effort. It is also true that to sustain it requires support. But the rewards are worth it, and can continue to grow over time.

The first step is to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. Follow a system that is tried and true — a system where you don’t have to reinvent the wheel, a system where others can help you along the path to success.

Just one more rule — say this to yourself everyday, as often as you can:

I will persist, until I succeed.
